RCH International, LLC, which is responsible for Memorials.com, is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers while also assuring high quality customer service.  In general, our information practices are designed so that we can provide you the best customer service possible while assuring that your contact information will only be used by people who may need it for matters directly related to your orders or potential orders. We appreciate the trust that customers put in us when they provide us with their contact information, and strive constantly to do nothing to violate that trust. Below are the details of our customer information privacy policy.  This policy is modeled after the Better Business Bureau’s suggested privacy policy and applies to all other websites for which RCH International is responsible. It does not, however, necessarily apply to other sites to which Memorials.com may be linked. The Information We Collect:

On some pages, of Memorials.com you can order products or make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are

  • Phone number
  • Credit/Debit Card Information  -- special note: all credit card information leaves our system immediately after payment has been made.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, if you order a gift online and want it sent directly to the recipient, you will need to submit the recipient's address. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are

On some pages, we also use cookie technology to allow your web browser to remember details of an order while you browse to other pages on the site. Cookies we collect are designed to self-delete once you close your web browser. You may choose to set your Web browser to not accept cookies. If your cookies are disabled, you can still view our site, but you cannot create an account or make purchases.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive.  Addresses are usually not used for any other purpose than to completing your order in a professional manner. We suggested to not provide anyone with your order details, who you don't want contacting us in your behalf.

We use telephone numbers left for us in emails and voice mail messages only to respond to the messages. Such numbers are not used for any other purpose than to complete the order.

We commonly use customer emails to confirm orders and to send a one-time customer satisfaction questionnaire after most orders. If the customer has given us written permission, we occasionally re-print comments from the questionnaire in the “testimonial” section of our website. We reserve the right to edit those comments for grammar and clarity, however, and we identify the customer by first name, last name, city and state.

We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. We may share certain personal information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others and ourselves. We may also transfer personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, dissolution or similar event.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our site uses a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, to protect your personal information during data transport. SSL encrypts ordering information such as your name, address and credit card number.We also require that all information you enter into the site be protected by a password of your own choosing. To create an online account on Memorials.com, you need to select a personal password. To maximize your level of protection, you should choose at least 6-30 characters including a combination of both letters and numbers. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password or any account information.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to specifically attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging onto the account established upon your initial order. That account is accessible from the “log on” link on the site’s main page. Simply type in your email address and the password you created, and you will then see all of the information we have on file for you. You can then change or delete that information at any time. If you have forgotten your password or cannot otherwise access your account, you may also call or email us to find out what information is on file for you and to ask us to change or delete the information. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Because Memorials.com will continue to implement new technologies and improve the services and features we provide, these policies are subject to change. We will post all changes here, and if the changes mean that your personal information may be used or shared in a different manner, we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of having your information used or shared in that new manner.
