Beautiful Pendant, but hard to get the screw in after filling By: Kathleen McFadden The pendant is beautiful and the engraving was done just as I asked. My only issue is that I had a great deal of difficulty getting the screw back in after filling the pendant. In fact, after working at it for two evenings, I finally used a hammer to drive it in. I think the problem was the super glue. I'd suggest changing the instructions to only apply a couple of drops of super glue to the screw once it is back in and almost completely screwed in.
This pendant was a gift for my son. A couple of weeks before he went into Army basic training, he asked me to find him a locket that would hold some of his father's ashes. I found your site, selected what I considered to be a perfect pendant, and then presented it to him at his going-away dinner. He loves it.
Exactly as described... By: Denise DiMicelli The item was exactly as described, and beautifully engraved and boxed. I was also pleased with the length and quality of the chain. I do not believe it holds as much cremains as described, and found the filling and securing difficult because of it. I would suggest attempting only a minimum of cremains before attempting to seal. The glue dries rapidly and will make sealing difficult if the pendant is filled. The second pendant was much easier to fill and seal as a result of my experience with the first.
"I was surprised by the urns I saw in funeral homes when I was looking for my parents. They were extremely expensive and I thought they looked quite "cheap" and frankly, tacky... more like brass than bronze. So I spent a lot of time looking at decorative urns not specifically for cremations and bought one to try out. It couldn't be sealed well. So finally I found "Sarcophagus" and ordered one in the bronze with black contrast and one that was gold plated. Both were nice, but I liked the gold one best hands down! Returned the bronze one, no problem (unused, of course!!) and bought a second gold one. A nice surprise, when the second one arrived, it was a nice, paler, slightly rose gold, where the first was a more "bold" gold. So the rose gold was for my mother and the more masculine one for my father. Couldn't have found anything I would have liked better! Customer service was unbelievable!! So nice and helpful! Thanks everybody for your help." Patricia Norwood
