The Violet Cross Cremation Ash Pendant is hand crafted from glass into a stunning lampwork bead that will hold the precious ashes of your loved one. The bead is made by melting the glass with a torch at temperatures over 2000 degrees, and carefully wrapping it around a steel rod. Because of the high temperatures used, the carbon in the ashes is burned off, making them appear a brilliant white color in the glass bead. After it has been formed and fused with the ashes of your loved one, the bead is then annealed, or slowly cooled in a kiln, to ensure durability and strength, and then applied to the elegant sterling silver cross setting. The handmade nature of these wonderful beads means that no two will ever look identical, ensuring a pendant that is as unique as the person it memorializes.
