Product Description:

The Empress Blue Cloisonne Cremation Urn (medium) features a magnificent array of colorful flower variations; the cloisonne urns will create a memorial for your loved one. The cloisonne urns are an ancient Chinese tradition and are still made to this day the same way they have been made centuries ago. The time honored process originated in Beijing in the 12th century. Tiny copper filigree partitions are created and through a process of soldering and heating put on a metal urn. The enamel glaze is hand painted into each partition and kiln fired, a process repeated several times until the surface is smooth. Each urn is then ground, polished and finally electroplated with a thin coating of gold; creating an elegant finish.
Top opening lid, can be sealed with adhesive.
