The Orange Elegance Cremation Ash Bead is hand crafted from glass into a stunning lampwork bead that will hold the precious ashes of your loved one. The bead is made by melting the glass with a torch at temperatures over 2000 degrees, and carefully wrapping it around sterling silver inset. The inset is made to fit on most 'add-a-bead' designed bracelets, and adds to the overall durability of the glass bead. Because of the high temperatures used, the carbon in the ashes is burned off, making them appear a brilliant white color in the glass bead. After it has been formed and fused with the ashes of your loved one, the bead is then annealed, or slowly cooled in a kiln, to ensure durability and strength. The handmade nature of these wonderful beads means that no two will ever look identical, ensuring a pendant that is as unique as the person it memorializes.
