The Cherokee Cremation Urn is handcrafted and hand-thrown. The urn is a wheel thrown, altered and burnished stoneware piece. Once prepared, the urn is wood fired, which is a very demanding form of firing that requires a lot of attention. This is clearly seen in the diverse colors seen on the urn, as the flame literally paints the surface of the piece. The hand-pressed knob offers the perfect final touch. Due to the nature of the materials and the firing process, colors, patterns and actual dimensions may vary a little. <br> Top opening lid features a deep flange, for a secure closure, but could be sealed with adhesive or silicone caulking facilitating easy removal at a future date.
