The Monterey Marble Cremation Urn is hand-turned on a lathe from orange alabaster. Individual size urns are crafted from a forty pound piece of solid alabaster and require an average of twenty-five hours to turn, shape, sand, buff and finish. Due to the nature of alabaster, patterns and colors will vary. <br> The lids are turned from black wonderstone and have threaded bronze fittings.
