The Orange & Rose Modern Cremation Urn is assembled by hand. The core of the urn is made of aerospace aluminum by the process of extrusion from an exclusive matrix, cut to millimetric precision and the top and base are made from recycled aluminum by a process of die casting. These 3 parts are sealed and hand assembled with stainless steel screws to prevent electrolysis and so insure the everlasting durability of the product. The cremation urns will memorialize your loved one forever. When the artist makes the urn a special person is kept in mind. The engraving is done on paper which is inserted into the urn. <BR> Bottom opening with screws. <br><br> <strong> Leather Covered Aluminum:</strong><br> The leather covering of objects goes back to the eleventh century (the roman period) when leather was stained or painted and glued to fancy furniture for wealthy persons. In order to apply the same technique to our urns, a leather craftsman uses stable adhesives of a new generation to glue a fine layer of top grain leather to the aluminum core. The leathers that we use are specially treated by a tanner (who, by the way, is a supplier for Hermes International in Paris) to insure its resistance and stability.
