Many will agree that a pet is one of the greatest companions that many of us will know. Whether it be a dog bouncing throughout the house, a cat softly purring at our feet, or even a charming mouse or ferret who seems to happily amble about their habitat, these wonderful creatures fill our lives and hearts with love and joy. Moreover, they can be very perceptive, especially interactive animals that are often handled, and seem to always sense what mood we are in, and what they need to do to make us feel better. These selfless creatures can certainly provide a positive influence in our lives, whether it is walking them outside and adding a little physical activity to our day, or caring for them by feeding or cleaning their cage, adding a set regimen to our schedules. Both of these benefits are especially important for homes with children, as they learn responsibility and gain a sense of empathy for these creatures.
