Mary Fiberglass Statues
The Virgin Mary has long since been one of the most influential figures in many religions, most notably the Catholic denomination. While Mary is not worshipped as a goddess, she is praised as the Mother of God, as she gave birth to Jesus Christ, who was conceived through her by the will of God. Mary is prayed to as she provides us a heavenly protection, and is most noted for her grace. With that said, it is no wonder that she has been subject of countless works of art throughout the ages. It is more than heartwarming that Popes have encouraged such works, although they stress the importance of knowing "true from false devotion". This just goes to say that Mary is not worshipped as a goddess, because there is no higher power than God himself. While that is so, Mary is still held in high regard, for her acceptance of God's will of Immaculate Conception, and for her strength to face and endure the obstacles that that decision brought forth.
