Granite Statues
Granite has long since been utilized in various applications, for many centuries. From helping to construct the Great Pyramids of Giza, to the famous Mount Rushmore, and to more basic applications, such as memorial monuments, granite is a very valuable natural resource that continues to prove its importance as time goes on. Granite is an igneous stone, meaning that it forms deep within the mantle, as different minerals are fused together due to the heat and pressure of the surrounding earth. As the granite cools, the minerals form a series of crystalline structures, permanently fused together to create one large and durable mass. This stone is usually quarried, or collected, directly out of the earth, from the geological area where it forms. Once quarried, the granite can be distributed to different companies around the country and world, for various uses; one of which the most impressive is sculpture.
