A home can certainly be a wonderful collection of artifacts that tell the story of our lives. Whether the individual is simplistic, or extravagant, their home will almost always reflect the nature of the person. Our homes are very important in our lives, and not only for the obvious reason that they provide us with shelter from the elements. A comfortable home can be a welcome retreat from the troubles that we face in life. Many will agree with the sentiment, "at least I'm finally home", after a long day, and for good reason. Our homes not only protect us from the physical world around us, but give us a space where we can truly be ourselves, and surround ourselves with what we find to be of the upmost comfort. Whether it is a permanent house or a temporary apartment, these areas provide a space on the Earth we can truly call our own. These areas become an emotional fortress where we can often find the reserves we need to keep us whole and balanced.
