That old saying that pet's mirror their owners can certainly be true in many cases. The time that we get to spend with our pets causes us to rub off on them, but not any more than they rub off on us. Just like we train and mold their behavior, they essentially train us by employing certain actions and cues to let us know what they want or need. This is perhaps what leads us to create a strong bond with them, as we essentially speak a secret language that only they and we understand.
