Gift Boxed Angels

Scottish author George MacDonald once said, "If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend that would be giving as the angels give." This is especially true when words cannot express our deepest emotions, such as when we are trying to comfort a loved one who suffered the loss of a friend or family member. It is more than understandable that at times like this, there are little words that can ease the grief felt, and many individuals are reluctant to say anything, for fear that they may make the situation worse. Moreover, many are not sure of what is customary following the loss of a loved one. Should I send those flowers or a gift? How long should I wait before sending a gift? Or should I even say or do anything at all, or will I just make it worse? These questions are all well founded, as we are concerned for our loved one, as well as their well being.
