Saint Marble Statues
Sculpture has long since been a way for man to express his beliefs, whether they be religious, political, or simply observations of life around them. This form of art brings us a completely different realm that, to some degree, dabbles in the third dimension. Perhaps because sculptures offer a more tangible grasp on the subject of the work that this art form has not only survived, but thrived through the centuries. Unlike the initial pieces that were discovered, remnants from civilizations long past which featured very basic designs and shapes, the works of today are available in a variety of different materials, and the styles range from abstract, to contemporary, and even finely detailed figures that reflect the works of the Renaissance Era. It is quite interesting to note that while the technology and materials that are utilized to create sculptures today have greatly evolved, one popular subject of the medium has carried through, in one form or another, since man's earliest productions; that subject is of religious figures and ideals.
